1. WE ARE IN A SCI-FI DRAUGHT!!!! (no X-files, no Farscape, Enterprise kind of sucks)
2. SCI-FI heros = hot; Cowboys = hot; Sci-fi Cowboys = to hot......can't type....so very hot.
3. Fun and new are becoming rarer and rarer. (CSI: Miami, Law & Order: Tax evasion)
4. We need at least one gritty female character for ever stupid, low self-esteemed, prostitute, girl on the Bachelor. (Zoe kills Darva Konger)
5. Someday Sci-fi will kill soap operas
6. Space hookers are fun.
7. You won't hear made up languages( Wu de mie, Frell, Pah'tak) on Becker (Jadzia rest in peace)
8. guns Guns GUNS
9. tight cowboy pants (see no. 2)
10.Fan Fiction just ROCKS.

It's my favourite new show since I started watching Buffy
IF FOX CANCEL THIS SHOW IT WILL THE STUPIDEST THING THEY HAVE DONE IN A LONG TIME!!!!
Spaceships, Guns, Hot girls, Hot guys, Keylee!! and have you ever heard of a space show without aliens? I haven't which makes this show stand out.
A complete lack of suck!

It's interesting that 44% wants Firefly cancelled.

BTW, that website is just a gimmick to earn advertising dollars. I doubt any network execs will take the results seriously.

Yeah, that was a good ep. It had humor and action. They should have premiered with it, it would have done more to grab an audience than The Train Job.

Then again, TTJ had more action. And the humor in OMR was reminiscent of Buffy. Perhaps somebody thought that action was good, and reminders of Whedon's "other" series was bad.

They need to keep the show for tons of reasons, including the fact that I will cry if they don't and then I will find a Fox exec and introduce him to either my CluebatTM or my PointedStickTM, both of which have been used to alternately beat a clue into someone or poke them in the nuts until they see things my way.

More good reasons for keeping the show -
12) It looks like Joss read the Evil Overlord's list before writing and this is a good thing. ( http://www.eviloverlord.com/lists/overlord.html)
13) There seems to be some Heinlein-esque stuff going on (according to my well-read, all-knowing husband), and that's always good (also according to my well-read, all-knowing, good-looking husband)
14) Suspenders
15) Find me another show where all the men are good looking in different ways, I dare you
16) Find me a show where all the WOMEN are good looking in different ways *and* they are all strong in their own right as well as smart
17) Silent space explosions look REALLY cool

Okay, we all knew this was coming sooner or later so lets get it over with.

5. I haven't seen Jayne shirtless yet.

4. We haven't found out what Blue Sun means yet and what it has to do with Jayne.

3. Jayne hasn't gotten laid yet. Which means I haven't been able to call anyone a whore just for sleeping with Jayne yet.

2. I'm convinced that if the show's on long enough I'll find out that one of Jayne's guns has my real name.

10) I am a nerd. Canceling Firefly would make me angry. And if we’ve learned anything from last season of Buffy, you don’t wanna piss off nerds.

9) If the show gets cancelled, then the official website will be shut down and we’ll never find out what happened to the monkey.

8) I know where the Fox executives live, and whether they have a cat.

7) At network mixers, Fox can proudly proclaim that they are the only network on television with a space hooker.

6) Turns out that Buffy is based on Joss Whedon’s wife, who is a bona fide superhero, and she is more than willing to break kneecaps if her hubby’s show gets cancelled.

5) I am more than willing to break kneecaps if Joss’ show gets cancelled.

4) The media is supposed to be liberal. Fox is part of the media. Irana the amazing space hooker is bound to annoy the religious right. Where’s the downside?

There's not many great scifi shows on nowadays, where do people get their scifi fix on Fox anyway ?

I mean there's Stargate, Odyssey 5, Farscape (what's left anyway) and maybe even Enterprise. But they're all on different networks. So why are people not tuning in ?

Firefly deserves a chance, I mean okay Fox hasn't announced any cancellation, but what are the chances of Firefly surviving at Fox ? Very LOW INDEED.

I am soooooooo Sorry. One of my reasons that Fox must Keep Firefly was about made up languages. I am watching the ep again with captions and it says that they are speaking Chinese. I apologise for this ethnocentric, ignorant comment and I hope all that were offended will forgive me.

Remember, dropping 500 ft is not a big problem unless you are 499ft or less above the ground

Because it is actually interesting. It has character development and non-archetypal characters. The use of another language besides English, even if the pronunciation needs a little work. Plus it has good-looking and natural-looking women.

Oh yeah, Red Dwarf didn't have space aliens.

Actually, that pilot that was never aired had a made-up language. Or rather dialect. Unless I misheard, both Mal and Book spoke a form of English with some simplified verb forms. Somebody told me it sounded sort of like rual southeast U.S., but to me it sounded vaguely Aussie. Not an accent, mind you, just a way of using certain words. Probably something Whedon invented.

What the pilot did not have was any of those bits of Mandarin. I'm guessing that Fox objected to the "bad English". Whedon didn't want everybody talking 20th Century U.S. English, so he made Mandarin everybody's second language. Probably the big delay in airing "Serenity" is reshooting the parts that contain this dialect.

I must agree that he is the best part of the show, but then again, i think Alan is one of the most amazing actors i've ever seen. I started watching Firefly because of him! It all started with 28 days... oh my..

I look like Inara? heh.. right... more than you look like Zoe, but that's not saying too much. Ah, I know more about my halloween costume for next year than this year!
