ME Logo in front of Serenity?

I was just thinking... Usually, movies have both the logos for the studio (i.e. Universal) and the logos from the associated production company at the start of a feature film. Do you think we will see a feature version of the Mutant Enemy logo at the head of "Serenity", complete with "Grrr...Arrgghh" monster?

Has anyone heard any talk of this?

I haven't heard a word about this...
of course they've been busy making the movie and maybe haven't thought about the titles yet

but I will cheer loudly in the theater if it is there!
Of course I'll be cheer all our BDHs anyway!

I was thinking about this a while ago as well. I think the most likely outcome is that the credits will read:

Universal Pictures Presents
A Mutant Enemey Production
A Joss Whedon Film
"Serenity"
Nathan Fillion...etc.

I think that the only logo appearing before the credits will be that of Universal's.

I doubt they'd use it just because it would be a little jarring jumping from the epic, sweeping orchestral Universal logo clip to the Grrr... Argh... clip.

I think the other issue may be a legal one - there seems to be a habit with films of setting up production companies for specific films to limit liabilities in some way (I'm not sure on the specifics, I just recall Kevin Smith mentioning something on one of his DVDs)

Actually, I think that would be hi-larious. I can just see it... large, grand, epic UNIVERSAL over the spinning globe logo thing. Suddenly, paper mummy walks across the screen "Grr.. Argh". The juxtaposition of those two would just be terrific.

Yes they must do it that way!

I can also see them redo-ing the ME logo for the film. hmm...

It actually has to do with inflexible laws in the US and the way movies are usually made. A bunch of cast and crew are 'hired', they make a movie for several months, then they are all 'fired'. But that drives unemployment insurance through the roof. So production companies have to come and go, or they would never be able to afford it.

At least that's how I remember it being explained to me during the short time I used to work at Cast and Crew Payroll (a company that handles payroll for the entertainment industry).
