VideoDrome - Prophetic?

I was watching the special edition of VideoDrome and was struck by the apparent 'foreshadowing' of life here in the Real 'Verse. That is considering the Internet, Reality TV amongst others.

Before I lead the audience any further, I'll ask YOU this: take a viewing of 'VideoDrome', watch it again, if need be. Ponder it. Then post any ideas you may have in this vein.

I'll wait a bit to see if there is any response before I present my ideas.
