A question for those that have seen the pilot:

I was wondering if the only download available is "The Tube" encode.

Because personally I thought it was unwatchable and so... have not watched it!

Is there some other encode out there or am I just a video snob?

There is at least one better encode out there. But it has two drawbacks:

1. 'Not for air' in big letters
2. It's the shortened 45-minute episode...

Check eBay. Videos of the pilot pop-up occasionally. It's not so cheap, though.

To download Firefly episodes
(1) Visit the website kazaa.com
(2) Download the file shearing program Kazaa V2 there is a banner at the top of the page.
(3) Install the program
You can use Kazaa to search for and download Firefly episodes, be prepared to wait a while for them to download if you have a slow connection or even a fast connection. I can recommend looking mpg and avi file sizes of about 400 MB if you want high quality.
