Thanks everyone for all your support, I really appreciate it. Yes, my dog is part of the family and I thank you guys for understanding that it can be saddening when you're losing a pet whose been around you most of your life.

As for that Shadowfly guy, well, you guys can all see him for what he is so I'm not going to further escalate anything. Thank you all for standing up for me while I wasn't able to check the forums.

Best wishes Ged.
Our cat went just before Christmas, and we miss her so.
But my son wanted pets around, so we adopted two kitties, and one we swear could be our old cat reincarnated.
It's possible.
It all moves in circles, and passing each other occasionally seems logical.

Peace, Chrisisall

I'm sorry GED, please know that all of us here are thinking of you and have felt the same before.

I lost my two old doggies within a year of each other and our family has not been the same since.
I still cry for my little gray kitten that I lost last year. She was very ill and all the nursing and vet bills in the world didn't stop the inevitable. I miss her so.

My daughter lost her beloved Tiggy last year as well. Tiggy greeted her running and hopping thru the grass as she got off the school bus. Alas, Tiggy's time ran out.. he just got old. We mourned for days. Now he's wherever good cats go.

But then we got Roo. Who is a monster of a cat nothing like Tiggy who plays fetch and is droll.
He has worked his magic and found his way into our hearts and slowly but surely we are mending.
Pets give love like no other.. we are truly blessed to have them.

I will be thinking of you and we'll all be right here if you need us.

"You hold. Hold 'til I get back." Mal

Honey, I'm so sorry you're going through this. It's one of the toughest things to get through. In the last 6 years I've had to put down 2 pets, my mom's 19 year old dog who had a brain tumor, and our 17 year old cat who had lymphoma. I was hysterical doing both.

It does get better, I promise. In the case of illness, they're not in pain anymore.

To answer the shadowfly problem, the answer is obviously to get Shinyyukari to chastise him. It appears that she's the only person he respects the opinion of.

WHISPER

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

My condolences are with you in this time of grief. Losing a family member is never easy, but take heart that her suffering will not be for much longer. Whenever the decision is made to put her down, know that it is the right decision and one of the most loving final acts an owner can do for thier ailing pet.

Ask your veterinarian for a "clay paw" print, if you would like a tangible momento of her life. If you would like to make one yourself, most pet stores carry them.

Once again, my sypathies are with you.

I know the feeling. I just put one of mine down about a month ago who was 15 yrs old. It is not easy and he will be missed. Another one of mine is 16 and I do not look forward to that day that I know is coming. Each one is different like people. Take lots of pics when you can and enjoy them when they are with you.

Have a better one!!!

I cant believe u are so heartless ShadowFly, animals arnt meant to be weapons they are companions and are with u through thick or thin and can be the most loyal friend you ever have. You sicken me for how insenstive you are towards any one whos ever cared for pets. They arnt tools btw they animals and the live and breath and feel just like u do, maybe even better.Their Not weapons. Only souless people see them that way and train them to be that way

To all those who have lost and cared for animals some times it is better to stop their pain even tho it can increase your own, its probably the last humane act u can do for them. Maybe not the easiest to go through with though

DRACONUS

Dude, I know how you feel. Same kinda thing happened to me a few weeks ago, but my family wasn't able to save him, and wasn't able to call me until after he had already been put down. It's sad, but take heart in that you have time to prepare.

Greif is nothing to be ashamed of.
