No way will they axe the show

I agree. Why don't the just call the show "Money-Grubbing Whores Seeking Sugar Daddy"? ... Oh, that's right... truth in advertising is a big no-no.

How do these shows continue to get made? Doesn't anyone ever say "maybe showing a show about women doing anything they can to sell themselves to some man just because he's got money is in poor taste"????

I have no problem with Prostitution. I grew up in Reno, Nevada. It's legal there. It's going to happen either way, the state might as well tax it, right? At least when it's legal, it's regulated (same theory applies with the legalized drugs debate. Nevada also just legalized marijuana for non-medical use. But that's another story). Anyway, my point being that while I see nothing wrong with prostitution, I don't think they should have a "reality" TV show about it. I saw an interview with one of those women, and she was saying "a lot of the women participating are professional, intelligent women just looking for a nice, caring man" (paraphrased)... and all I could think was "WHO ARE YOU KIDDING???" I'm sorry, you are trying to get a man to marry you, and you've chosen him based solely on the numbers in his checkbook. No matter how you try to convince yourself that you're not selling yourself, you are still a whore.

It's funny, I would never call someone who worked as a prostitute a whore. It pisses me off every time Mal calls Inara a whore. But those women on The Bachelor, and the ones who were on Who Wants to Marry a Millionare.... and pretty much anyone who is trying to land a man (or a woman, I guess, although I think that's less common) based on the amount of money they have is a Whore.

Since prostitution isn't legal in most of the states where this show is seen, why oh why are they allowed to make it?
