GIXXER

Gobluegirl,

Scots do actually have a second person plural. Often when drunkenly issuing challenges to an imprudently large number of opponents.

"See youse? Youse are all fuckin' claimed*."

Pardon my French, but swearing is necessary in certain contexts.

*Claim (v. transitive) - to accost a person for the purposes of imminent violence, (or a "square go".)

Example, Begbie in Trainspotting. Until River arrived, the beer glass over the balcony was the most gratuitous start to a bar fight in film.

Gixxer,

Really like the second person plural. And love "claimed".

With 17,586 votes our Cap'n is in the lead with
43% to Mr. Ford's 42%. Interesting vote.

They put a nice picture of the Cap'n above the vote too from the Slither premiere, so all and all good advertising for the Cappy and for us.

" You hold. Hold til I get back." Mal

Hey, look. Serenity is on their new poll. We must all vote. I shall start a new thread.

Op: You're fighting a war you've already lost.
Mal: Yeah, well I'm known for that.

You know, it's interesting. 10 minutes into seeing Serenity (since it was my first exposure into the Firefly 'verse), I turned to my husband and said, "Boy, is he like a young Harrison Ford/Han Solo type or what?"

If anyone should take up the Indy role, it should be Fillion. There isn't anyone else up to it. And Ford is getting a might ancient to be running around with a whip and getting into trouble.

"Now you can luxuriate in a nice jail cell, but if your hand touches metal, I swear by my pretty floral bonnet, I will end you."

I'm sure it's been said before, but what would you guys think of a Sean Connery as Indy's Dad, Harrison Ford as Indy, and Nathan Fillion as Indy Jr./III? I think that would satisfy everyone.

If anyone gets nosy...Shoot em.
Shoot em sir?
Politely.
