I was wondering if anyone else has heard this....Universal is planning to do a Prequal and a Sequal to the BDM!

I was at my local comic book shop picking up the new Serenity comic(what other comic is there? ) and I was browsing through the July issue of Starburst magazine. At the very end, they had screen caps from the BDM trailer with little and sometimes humerous comments and on one of the last screen caps the writer mentions Universal is planning both a sequal and a prequal. Not just 2 sequals.

Has anyone else heard about this idea? I haven't seen any posts on it. Let me know if you've heard this or know of any rumors out there that confirm this.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Rumor went around months ago that Universal was considering a prequel animated release for "Serenity", but scraped the idea for the comic book prequel. Not sure why they did away w/ the idea unless they were hesitant to spend the money on it.

This rumor seems to bear up if you consider the animated prequels 'Versal did for Van Helsing and Chronicles of Riddick.

Which, it's worth noting, would be shiny beyond words.

Firefly + animé. I'd be in heaven.

I suspect that as both prequels to Riddick and Van Helsing died on their arse, Universal decided to drop that idea as a revenue generator.
