Good luck to you! It's tough but you can do it--how are your rote memorization skills?

I'm now at the point of studying to take the bar, driving a school bus to put food on the table, and being a single mom. That's, uh, three jobs. And being a Browncoat.

It will rise in perfect light.

DINKY

16 year old high school student :P

Though I relate most to Mr. Universe in the Serenity movie :D.

Kinda funny too.... I use two monitors for one computer... Which is kind of today's standard for Mr. Universe.

I'm homseschooled and I study all kinds of Digital Media software by myself. Right now I am working hard at learning Maya 6.5.

But I have mastered Photoshop and fluent in languages: Actionscript, HTML, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, M.E.L., English and Spanish.

And I'm a huge PC Gamer!!!

This post has a lot of replies...

KAELE

Kaele is a stay-at-home mom now.

But I wasn't always...

BA in Music Performance (clarinet which I don't play anymore!)
Was very involved in my college's Marching Band and Music ensembles: Symphony Band, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Choir, Woodwind Quartet.
Life member of Delta Omicron, Music Fraternity.

Since graduation, I worked at a bank as a teller and at a convenience store. Then I got my big break into my dream job.

A parochial school hired me to teach computers, which I did for eight years, doing computers, Pre-K, music appreciation, and substitute teaching. My last position moved my job title up to Media Specialist where I built and maintained a computer lab and grew a school library from scratch.

Plan on going back to school soon to get a Master's degree and an elementary teaching certificate.

But, I work for an FFRDC -- essentially a think tank. Let's go military! was in the Navy, then the Air Force -- paid for grad school. Grew up in a small rare & antiquarian book store. Our town librarian died when I was a kid, so they closed the library. I never wanted to be a librarian. I see the unrelenting activity, the stress, the aggravation, the constant go go go go.......the lack of time to just STOP and LIVE, stop and BREATHE, stop and ENJOY LIFE. Why have companion animals if you're never home to enjoy their company? I also volunteer at an animal shelter, have animals of my own, participate in fundraising events on behalf of the animals, rescue stray dogs dodging traffic............What would I do in the Firefly 'verse? Don't know......perhaps care for the health and welfare of those black market beagles? (As long as they were not destined for the "Good Dogs!" barbeque)..........

While my husband and I work at our crazy, stressful jobs (we are adrenaline junkies and LOVE IT) our 6 cats take care of the house. LOL.

When I got my first cat, I vowed he would not be left alone, so I got him a brother. Then brother #3, then 4, 5 and 6. We got them all at the Humane society. Then we can spend quality time with them when we get home, but they don't need our constant attention as they have each other.

Rather a mad idea, (think litter box cleaning) but it works out.
