Did anyone ever notice how lights and things just kinda turned on or off at random moments throughout the movie when River was around....example...when the crew is on miranda and the electronic broadcast starts and the lights in the offices turn on....or at the end of the movie when they are in the hallway after the doc was shot and the lights went off, they then turned on again when River did her "Save brother rampage"

I'm guessing the sign on Miranda was motion-triggered (like the hallway lights that Zoe tripped).

As for the wierd brownout on Mr. Universe's world, my fevered brain actually came up with a fanwank for that. (You know you're a geek when. . .)

Check out the Mal/Operative fight: Notice that big metal crate that gets knocked over the edge and falls into the generator. Maybe it got lodged between the spinny-things and jammed them for a few seconds (power goes out), before the torque ended up crushing it (power flow resumes).

Yeah, i'm wierd like that.
