Searching for "Serenity airspeed" just out of
curiosity, found this amazing log:

http://www.lwg3d.org/forums/showthread.php?t=26764&highlight=serenity

Posted by the Visual Effects Supervisor at Zoic back
in November.
The description of how the engine works doesn't
sound exactly like the way the book says, but hey
whatever. Mainly I was wondering if it could hover.
Yep. Any skydivers around here?

Hey,

Thanks a bunch for the link. I'd always thought of Serenity being about the same size as a C-5 Galaxy. Very cool stuff from the guys at Zoic. Thanks again.

Mal: Jayne, just how many weapons you plan on taking? You only got the two arms.
Jayne: I just get excitable as to choice. Like to keep my options open.
Mal: I don’t plan on any shooting taking place during this job.
Jayne: Yeah, well what you plan and what takes place ain’t ever exactly been similar.
Mal: No grenades.

Wow. Those reference images are enough to get me started on my own 3d model of Serenity.

Well, if I had anything close to resembling the ability to model in 3d. So let's call it a very long term project.

"Anthropomorphic. All yours, big guy."

Cute, Loni. (Though I believe they meant principle.)
