Well, I hate to be another one of those guys who posts an "any browncoats in" thread, but hell, gotta have one sometime!

There are never any SciFi conventions (anything even slightly involving Firefly) in Illinois, let alone the entire midwest...

Do that leaves me wondering, just how many Browncoats are in Illinois? AND why don't I know you?

Yeah I'm in the south burbs of Chicago.

There is actually a Fangoria convention March 4-5 in Rosemont that Nathan will be appearing at to promote his new horror flick "Slither". Already got my tickets.

Other than that theres Wizard World in August which is huge. Also theres a Trek covention in Sept. and a Stargate con (whatever) in Aug.

I knew bout' Fangoria, but that's not really Firefly or SciFi at all... Nathon will be busy with his scary stuff.

The others aint my thing at all....especially StarGate...Nothin bout the 'verse

Hate to hijack your thread but I live in Indiana (your neighbor state) and we have Gen Con Indy. Which has Scifi along with dorky card games like that 'magic' game.

They had Ron Glass there last year signing autographs. But they pretty much NEVER tell you what they have there ahead of time. Or atleast so I think.

I am just going to go this year, I missed last year and last year had all kinds of good stuff!!!

But ummm ya so there is some stuff near you, just the mid-east (most people think Indiana is the west but it's east).

I'm from Illinois. I live in the Rockford area and go to school in Peoria. There doesn't seem to be that many Browncoats in IL outside of Chicago. Don't worry though, I'm working on that...
