how do I pst a link in such a way that I can change what it say and yet maintain the link

Update: I can't seem to find the right one (if there is one, it's probably something obvious I'm missing, heh). Sorry I couldn't be more help.

If you look to the right on the main page, you'll see a listing on the message boards on the forum. You posted in General Discussions.

If you go to each forum, there'll be a description of subjects they should contain. Not everyone abids this, but that is what technically should be.
