Thank you for the warm welcome. Love the decor...how many models of the 03-K64 do you have?! Umm, but, it's a wee bit early for a drink....what I'd really like is a bacon cheese omelette, sourdough toast with raspberry jam, and lots of Stumptown coffee with real half and half. May I see your menu? Or is that a hideously stupid question?

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

I'd like a nice chamomile tea with cream as I am headed to bed. Oh, and since these GD threads seem to be seen by more people - and I'm sure having a pub won't hurt, either - here is a link to the Forsaken pyre over in Talk Story: http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=11&t=24134 Anyone can join in there as well as here (don't worry, we've got a fully-stocked bar there, too. I think drpain came up with that one way back when, some kind of unfolding van complete with bartender) There's a bit more of eating s'mores and being heretics over there, maybe. Not by a lot. Oh, and magda, very dark and sexy MacBeth pic in the last thread. Come dance at our bonfire in that outfit sometime

NVG, huh! I have always had it served/done it myself by pouring the whiskey and Bailey's into a "big" shot glass and dropping that straight into the Guinness...I was not aware that you could put the whiskey straight into the Guinness...time for a field experiment when I get home!

I don't drink it all that often anymore. It used to be a shot a night when I went out. Just one most of the time though. I don't go out much anymore so I don't have it very often. Can't justify a buying a whole bottle of it. By the time I finished it I would be worried that it wasn't me that did but my daughter. (When she is old enough to steal drinks).

Use to drink Vodka like a fish. With my metabolism it was alright. Me and the roomies would get released for the day and I would drink around a fith. We would get ready to go out and they would drive. I would not drink the whole night out and by closing time I was stone cold sober. (lots of gatorade and dancing and bar food) We even checked it on one of those breatalizers that they had at the bars. Nothing, not a single .01 or anything. Weird but it saved us on nights that we could not sucker someone into DDing for us. Not to mention I would buy the Vodka on post for around 5 bucks so I saved alot of money.

Whoa. Remind me not to challenge you, KelKhil. I am discovering that rum treats me the way you describe. As long as I am actually drinking it, I stay happy. About an hour after I stop, I'm back on Earth again. That's why I love car bombs. A few of those, and you're fine for about ten minutes. Then the room goes plaid.

LOL you should all ask MisterG about the time he bought Whaler's Rum...He swears it caused halucinations... Back when I was still drinking my fav was vodka martini dirty with 2 olives:) Ok heading home for the evening...trying not to read anything into the vague nausea this morning and my tiredness....it's just turned into a driving obsession now, but I'm ignoring it...oh and if you want a traditional drink try a black and tan

Irish Stout Lager beer

Fill a pint glass half full with the lager beer. Using a spoon and a slow, controlled pour, layer Stout on top of lager beer. Serve cold unless you're british in which case, warm is fine

and now the under 18 version of a Black and Tan 1 cup butterscotch pudding 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce 1 small chocolate cake or cupcake 1 bag chocolate covered peanuts 1 pint heavy whipping cream 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

In a large pilsner glass, put the butterscotch pudding into the bottom 1/2. Then a spoonful of hot fudge goes on top. Place a large piece of the chocolate cake on the next layer and sprinkle a tablespoon of the chopped peanuts on top of the cake. Fill the rest of the glass with hot fudge, making sure to cover the cake and peanuts. Leave a 1/2-inch space from the top of the glass empty. Whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar to stiff peaks and spoon 3 to 4 tablespoons of cream on top, letting it slide down the glass like the "foam" on a beer. Bottoms up!
