CYBERSNARK

So, t'other day, three of us (students, others were both non-Browncoats) were leaving our "Working with Actors" class, toting a bunch of very heavy gear back to the equipment room.

Frank was in front, carrying a hundred-pound-plus lighting kit and an equally heavy and more cumbersome tripod (folded up, but it's still two-thirds as tall as I am and weighs a solid ton). I was following, with two extension cords draped around my arm (which were slipping off), my book bag, a hand-carried camera bag, and another tripod. Behind us was Nestani, carrying the shoulder-strapped camera bag and the monitor (which can be easily carried in one hand. Hell, with two fingers).

As we're staggering along (well, Frank and I are staggering), we meet one of the TAs from another class going the other way. She lets us pass, and as we're going she turns to Nestani and asks if she needs help.

Reflexively I threw on my best Mal impression:

"Does she need help?!?"

Not an exact quote, I know, but it still amused me.

We applied the cortical electrodes but were unable to get a neural reaction from either patient.
