Greetings, fellow Browncoats!

My fantasy novel, The Silver Cage, was released as an ebook on December 1 by LazyDay Publishing. It's got everything a Browncoat will love: strong female characters (of three different races), an ensemble cast, drama, humor, you name it.

To celebrate, I'm donating $1 for each copy sold before December 31, 2010, to greyhound adoption (my other passion).

Whether you're a fan of fantasy fiction or know someone who is, or you just want to spend some time lost in an adventure-filled story of intriguing characters and interesting and (sometimes humorous) situations, grab a copy or two (or three or... ) and know that you're helping the hounds (and a fellow Browncoat).

And don't forget to tell your friends about the book. The more copies sold before December 31, the more money I will donate to the hounds.

To watch the super shiny book trailer, read the prologue and first three chapters, and find out where you can buy the book, visit http://www.TheSilverCage.com

If I had a Kindle, I'd buy it.
Sadly, I don't yet...

You don't actually need a Kindle (or Nook or other ereader) to read ebooks. You can get free Kindle, Nook, etc. apps for your PC or Mac and read ebooks right on the computer. Not quite as portable as an ereader, but it does open up a huge library of books that can't be read any other way, and the apps are free.

Install the Kindle app then log into your Amazon account with it. All the ebooks you buy will be there for you to download to the app. If you install the app on a different computer or device, you'll have access to the same books. If you later buy a Kindle, same thing. And I'm fairly certainly your account keeps track of your bookmarks, so you can read a book on one device, close it, then open it on another device to the place you left off. That's how my Nook works. It's very, very cool. I can access all of my Nookbooks on my Nook, my PC, and my Droid.

I'm sure Wifeisall can get you through it.

I've extended the donation offer for book sales from one week to one month. I've changed the wording in the original post to reflect this.
