Imagine my pleasant surprise to open my straight-from-my-mailbox TVGuide for next week and find an article regarding our very own "Serenity." It was just a quick recap that the movie was being made with some really nice comments from Joss regarding the fans and the DVD sales encouraging the studio to green light the movie. Can I just say "Woo Hoo!"

Yup, I read about that... I now must fly to my nearest magazine store to buy me a copy. Since we are the underdogs, that article in the 'guide has deep sentimental value for me.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Someone on the OB posted some of the article, and one thing I found interesting is that is said 175,000 DVD sets had been sold. But I recall a month or two ago that it was 200,000. I wonder which figure is correct?

Woo-hoo!!! Any mention is a good mention. I guess I gotta run out and buy a TV guide.

BTW, I emailed the guy Greg who runs the Greg's Previews section of Yahoo! movies and asked him to add a Serenity preview. Haven't seen anything yet, but if he adds a page for it, we'll hopefully get all kinds of advance info. And it might not hurt for others to bug him about it too....

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I am going to have to pick up a couple of copies of that TV Guide issue so I can use them at cons to promote the show, the DVD set, and the BDM.

I've e-mailed Greg at the Yahoo movie site too and he never e-mailed me back either. You think maybe he has a thing against firefly? I e-mailed him months ago when I first found out about the movie. A bunch of my friends also e-mailed him and never got a response . I bet he is a really busy guy though.

That is great news about the TV guide article. I never read TV Guide but I will go out and buy one as soon as I can.
