Hi, all:

I just wanted to let you know that I just switched from Windows to Mac, and the first thing I noticed is how much better the wallpapers and other images look on the Mac! I had a pretty nice Windows laptop, but it is nothing compared to the richness of color and clarity on my Mac screen. Wow!

If you aren't using a Mac, find a friend with one and check out the difference. It's amazing! My particular favorite is a wallpaper wyraz posted a long time ago. Very colorful, and just fantastic. It's my new laptop wallpaper.

Okay, that's my barely related topic for this evening.

I'll second that motion! All the PC drones in my family try to look down their noses at my beloved iBook, but every time I show them something else I can do, I get a grudging, "Oh. Cool." and I see their eyes slide over to their machines while they wonder silently, why doesn't mine do that?

Steve Jobs is an awesome leader, and has revitalized Apple computers. Apple continues to amaze with aesthetic, practical and technological innovations. Those who use Macs for anything to do with media love em, and the tech support is great.

However..

As it was delightfully put before: "Unless you want to play games".

My only beef with Macs has always been that they are a bit limiting, in that friendliness cuts down on high-level functionality. Granted I don't want to do many of these things (Overclock, Create multiple partitions), but you trade compactability for expandibility and versitility in many cases. Installing a new drive was a breeze on my Dell XPS.

That said - Mac's are very hip, innovative machines, and every person that has put a lowercase 'i' in front of their product name after the imac deserves to burn in Special Hell.
