Jewel is sexy. So is Kaylee. And both are incredibly sweet. So, IMHO, absolutely.

Sweet is sexy. But sour is sexy, too. Take Joan Jett or Chrissie Hynde for examples of the latter. In their heyday, either of them looked like they would hurt you, and you'd like it. :)

But for the long term, yes, sweet is undeniably sexier.

It's definitely endearing, beautiful, adorable, heart-melting (the general idea of sweetness I've got in mind - I didn't see the episode). But I'm not sure that it immediately and necessarily brings to mind sex... (little girls can be sweet, old ladies can be sweet).

Three different (and somewhat competing) instincts men have towards a sweet personality I think are:

1) To protect/look after it
2) To fall in love with it
3) To sleep with it

And I imagine most men have all three of these instincts - just the balance of them is different. I'm more 1/2 than 3, and more 1 than 2.

So my question is: Is a sweet personality sexy? Or if a man doesn't meet a sexy woman is a sweet woman the first runner up? What's most important?

Most important to be yourself, I honestly believe.

It's not personal. It's just war.

Is a sweet personality sexy? Yes but it takes time to reach our brain :p.You have to get to know her.Example i have a friend who other guys dont consider sexy, neither have I when I meet her.But when you get to know her she is really sweet and that is attractive.

This question is confusing. Real men aren't just looking for a sexy woman to shack up with. Sexy is not the first thing on the list. So, why the question?

Sweet is not on the top of the list for sexiness. I mean just look at someone like Lindsay Lohan. Tons of guys think she's sexy and she's got the personality of a crackwhore (maybe because she's a crackwhore). Sweet is not a requirement for sexy but it's also not mutually exclusive.

Sweet is an attractive personality. It's something you look for in a relationship. Not something you look for in the bedroom.

I think it's a fair, unconfusing question but I'd like to add the point, as some folks before me have made the link, that sexy doesn't mean sex.

Sweet is usually sexy, depending on the rest of the persons personality. It goes really well with a good sense of humour. If the person is cute then it adds more to it. But it can go too far if they are silly with it or push the sweetness too much.
It really all boils down to the whole 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' and what type of person you go for.
Some men do like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears of the world. Some like the supermodel type. Others like Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Anniston and Megan Fox types. Personally I don't see it. I'm not saying they are beautiful or attractive in their own ways (except maybe the first three - uurrrgghhh), but that I don't find anything attractive about them.
I definitely fall for the 'girl next door' type of female. Summer Glau is a fine example. Reese Witherspoon, Emilie de Ravin, Grace Park, Michelle Williams (the actress not the singer) are others. I'd say they all have an element of sweetness to them that adds to their attractiveness and, I think, sexiness.

So yes, sweet is sexy in the same way that beautiful and cute are sexy but only when combined with other attributes.

I disagree. To me sexy = sex appeal. Attractive covers way more than just sex. Sweetness adds to attractiveness but it doesn't necessarily add or detract from sex appeal.

I'd agree with that. It gets a bit blurry because attraction to a girl is always likely to lead to some thoughts/feelings about sex. So if you find sweetness attractive, you will probably find such a girl sexy as well, in the end.

But I also think of Jayne being attracted to Saffron in her 'sweet' mode. I wonder if this is a specific turn on to some men (or to all of us, and our 'inner Jayne').

It's not personal. It's just war.

If you read Dickens' 'A tale of two cities' there's a woman in that who embodies sweetness to my mind. My brother read the novel and then leant it to his friend; and I was interested to hear both give the same verdict: "I think I'm falling in love..."

It's not personal. It's just war.

It's the "I love you" look.
The idea that you are made more happy by my existence in your world.

Sometimes I feel like that's a fantasy. Sometimes it's virtually unbearable, given my romantic (or, co-dependent) nature.

Whatever.

I did not see the episode, so don't know the situation. Also without the name of the character or actress or a screencap, can't visualize an answer.

The OP question lends to my recall of a classic guy adage: No matter how beautiful, how hot, gorgeous, sexy, adorable she is, somebody somewhere is tired of putting up with her sh!t.

So since some women really are sweet, this alleviates the weigh on that half of the teeter-totter (or the balance scales of love). A nagging B can reduce the guy's mating desire towards even the most physically attractive woman.

Yes, sweet is sexy.

Additionally, for those with religious hangups, sex is dirty, and a sin outside marriage. This generates a dirty, sleazy, naughty, taboo = sexy type of concept, and the sweet ends up not being the "turn-on" for them.

Depends on your definition of sweet, sexy, and of course on the man in question. My own opinion is that sweetness is not sexy (not in the obvious or immediately sense) but can be more attractive.
That being said, I have been dating the sweetest, most loyal and compassionate ray of sex addicted sunshine (like having my own Kaylee Frye lol) for almost 3 years. So either I am wrong and sweetness really is sexy or I hit the jackpot!
