I never woct Castle, but think its probably OK, so feel a little gilty for not giving it a chans.

The reviews aren't exactly warm 'n fuzzy. Is there NOTHING special about it? Can LA be invaded by aliens or something? Are they gonna fall off the edge in an earthquake??

Just watched it. A dramatic show.

Like any cop show, the cops are under constant assault, whether it be by machine gun fire, a knife attacker, or just some crazy person who needs to be talked down.

The conceit that I don't buy is the holy land that cops try to inhabit as individuals. Cops are cops. They're not cops to make a difference, or test their mettle. That's BS of the highest order.

This is just the first ep. Front loaded with a bunch of developments, but it's well done, despite the improbability.

Looks like Nathan shed a few pounds for this role. I'm convinced this show will do well.

I saw about 30 minits uv the show last nite. I wuz not impressed.

The entire thing seemed to be a bunch uv standard issue personal storyz dropped into a police presinct with no effort to integrate anything. The karakterz were cardboard cutouts. The senez start and stop abruptly.

But the wors thing wuz the action.

The set up and prelude to the parking lot drug bust wuz not credible. If you were going to take delivery uv 80 kiloz uv cocain, do you think you mite take a little ride and notis that there are haf a dozen squad carz scattered around the area? Woudnt you pay close enuf attention to the traffic stop that just happened to be going on rite then and notis that the driver wuz looking at you with a scope and holding a wokky tokky?

Then the shoot out! Bullets flying in all directionz at and from the bad guyz. Wun uv them haz a machine gun thats apparently loaded with plastic bullets that cant penetrate modern car sheet metal* or glass. The chase wuz az lame az the junk they had in CHiPs, with bad camara work dezined to try to conseal the low speed and short distansez and an ending wich woud hav embarrassed the CHiPs directorz.

I'm glad that Nathan haz a job, but this iz a waste uv hiz talent.

*seriously, its sumthing like .02"! You can stab thru it with an ordinary steak nife.
