Y'know, after I posted about Cannell being one of Castle's poker buddies, I wondered the same thing. I had originally heard that that was going to be kind of an ongoing thing, and expected to see other writers cycle in and out of the poker games as the weeks went on.

I guess maybe it didn't focus-group too well...

I'm glad they cut it. Too corny for me. A bunch of writers sitting around solving crime while they play poker? One crime fighting writer is enough.

Plus poker in shows and movies is usually so awful that it makes me die inside.

Castle was teaching Alexis to play Texas hold-em two weeks ago.

I believe I read on the internet that one of the episodes coming up has a writer poker game in it.
