You beat me to it, though in my case it was more like:

"Well, poor Alan got harpooned again. He just can't catch a break!"

ETA: Oh! Just noticed the previews for next week. Wash lives!
--------------
MAL: Everybody's makin' a fuss.

"They just float out there, sending out raver breeding parties..."

Might be nothin', but I noticed the coat he was wearing was of a rather distinctive color.

Probably Nothin'

Mercy is the mark of a great man.
Guess I'm just a good man.
Well, I'm alright.

Hmm, had recorded to watch tonight. Thanks.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

*Alan's character takes it in the chest*

Ash: "Does Wash always have to die?"

Ash

WHODIED

So let me see if I have this straight. When I go to my Hulu queue and fire up last night's V premier, I already know what to expect for Alan Tudyk's character.

You know, it's too bad somebody hasn't invented some kind of code word to warn people that, in their fan boy exuberance, their about to give away some plot point or other scene of interest in some brand new show or movie. What could we call it? A "ruinator"? A "rottenifier"? Maybe we should form a committee...

And yes, the thread title alone was a rottenifier.

Yeah AG05, I did comment on the color of the coat to my father who was watching the Pilot with me. He didn't seem to think much of it, but I like to reach for connections like that even when they don't exist. :P

To cross-over, it looks like Castle's brown coat from the season 1 pilot will be making a return next week. :) Not that he'll ever top the Malcolm Reynolds full getup from "Vampire Weekend"!

My local ABC station/carrier got all weird with show times, so I won't actually get to see this week's V until 12:05 am Wednesday (in 2 and a half hours from the time I'm writing...). Oh well, at least the advertised the wonky showtime clearly during Castle. :) Looking forward to ep 2 of V!

Someone needs to explain to me how having a 2+ month hiatus after only 4 episodes is a good idea.

The shows pretty bad. I'd say a permanent hiatus would be more appropriate.

I mean, what was with the whole Inara bath-scene redo?

JONGSSTRAW

I like the show. It's no Firefly or even Sarah Connor, but it does have great elements in it. Even the guys I listen to on the radio during morning drive talk about the show. It's ridiculous to keep it off until February. Morena is larger than life in it, that's mostly why I watch.

ZEEK

I'm still underwhelmed by this show. I'm really hoping there are big reveals ahead to make the overall story better. I mean right now it seems like Anna and they aliens are pretty much evil for the sake of being evil. That's not interesting. We need to know some motivation here and maybe find out some reason we can sympathize with them. I get that the alien's end game is a big secret, but they have to be able to reveal something to us. Even if just the audience is in on it and the humans aren't.

THESOMNAMBULIST

This version of V is bland. Aside from the amazing ZOIC effects there is nothing else to it. I would have thought that network writers would have learnt a thing or two from Joss on the principles of writing characters!
Why is it the human characters are as inhuman as the visitors? If not more so! There is literally NO-ONE to relate to. The humans are bland and serious. Someone needs to crack a joke or slip on a banana skin or something!
I honestly couldn't care if any of the characters were killed off.
