America loves a winner!

Someone else mentioned it, and now I'm in agreement. They're using that word too much. It's not even mildly amusing anymore. WE GET IT! It's a substitute for the F word. I just got annoyed with it being so over used. " You can frak 50 women in one night "

Ok, enough already!

Also, I'm less thrilled w/ some of the plot twists from the last couple eps. Minor things, but they seem to be building on themselves.

I guess it's inevitable for a series to plateau or even take a step back, but at this crucial moment in the early stages, right when reviews have come in fairly favorable, I think things are starting to go a bit sideways. Hope I'm wrong.

Bones: "Don't 'rawr' her!"
Booth: "What? she'rawred' me first."

I agree. How many times a day does a "real" person use the "f" word (unless you're a trucker)??

It loses it's effect after a while...

What a coincidence! Just yesterday I posted this to the IMDb boards...

Thanks to nuGalactica and now Caprica, I get a twitch in my eye whenever I hear the word "Frak".
Why could they not have more than one curse word in that universe?
And why must it be spoken every 37 seconds of screen time?

...and posted this as my Facebook status < http://facebook.com/chris.johnston2>

I'd only watched the BSG mini-series, but I'm trying to get into Caprica, and one of the many things bugging me is that THERE'S ONLY ONE SWEAR WORD IN THAT WHOLE UNIVERSE!!! It's "Frak" every 37 seconds!! I'm about ready to bail on it.

I mean, it's "Frak you!" "Frak me!" "How 'bout a good frak?" "Ta-frakkin'-da!!" ad nauseum

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I take it none of you care for Martin Scorcese or Quentin Tarantino movies.

I used to work with a guy who used the real F word in nearly every sentence, even over the PA system in the store.

Granted there should be more than one curse word, but I hope they don't start using felgercarb.

See, I LIKE using the word 'frak'. It's fun to say! Frak! Or was... now that it's being bludgeoned to death w/ overuse.... I'm so glad Joss didn't over use 'gorram'.

felgercarb takes too much effort to blurt out. Saying it sounds like you're talking w/ food in your mouth. It just doesn't roll the tongue like a good 'frak!'. I'm not anti-felgercarb...I'm sure it's got a use, somewhere in the 12 colonies.

The writers for Caprica should challenge themselves to avoid using 'frak' for at LEAST 2 consecutive episodes.

Then, if they pass that little test, they should really earn their pay and try to come up with ANOTHER swear word, or at least try to work in a decent felgercarb, once in an episode.

Actually, they took "felgercarb" off the table (EEEwww!) by using it as the name of a Gemenon toothpaste in BSG.

It'd be like saying "Holy Colgate!"

I'm not sure what episode of Teletubbies some of y'all live in, but the f-word is in pretty regular use in the world around me, regardless of profession. I find frak an enjoyable substitute, but I kind of agree, too much of anything can turn bad.

1st used by "Battlestar Galactica", I except this as a real swear word. Now watch your mouth.
