I have seen Afterlife. But jeez, it seems like a while ago. I'm glad they kept the cast for this one.

I watched this on Holy Saturday, at 4:30 pm, in a theater I normally share with a half dozen others. This was not Sold Out, but upon entering, I was almost afraid I would only find a seat up front. But I found one on the outside edge, albeit in the front half of seating. This is the week after release.

I always enjoy McKenna Grace onscreen. She does a wonderful job again, but her role seems even more understated than in Afterlife. They could trim a bunch of Rudd and Coon time in favor of her.
The cast is wonderful, and includes Patton Oswalt.
There are some new characters, including Emily Alyn Lind as Melody. She does provide some wonderful foreshadowing. Lucky is still played by a "they" and gets less screen time.

The story seemed wonderfully crafted, all the parts fit together and wrap up like good movies should.
This really is a good fitting entry in the franchise, and in Ghostbuster lore and legend.
I guess some folk are hating on it for some reason, but listen to them at your own peril. The primary thing that I found irksome is that they are stuck back in NYC. Afterlife was able to spend some time in the fresh air, in the real world.
I can recommend this to friends. And for Date Night. And for kids.
I suspect this might be the best film in Action genre until The Fall Guy in 5 weeks.

I forgot to mention that there is a coda. After the main credit screens, and before the full End Credits roll.

Also, that it who plays the girl character Lucky - she is also apparently in Madame Web.

Do yourself a favor and don't look into any of his very not hidden political posts over the years.

I do try my very best to separate the person from the craft, but when the person is as obscene as Oswalt, it is EXTREMELY hard to do. I'd say he's just about one rung down the ladder from Mark Ruffallo in terms of heavily brain damaged Hollywood Libtard garbage people.

Seriously. Don't look into it. It will probably ruin anything you ever see him in again if you do.
