hey people just wathched the hole of firefly and then serenity agasin for the ??? times..........

just wandering what is the best part of the film and witch episode out of fire fly is yours.

mine are out of the film is the ending wher you see simon get shot and river goes and dives through the gape in the blast doors(damn doors) and througs the med kit through the gap and manually shut the doors befor being draged away by the reavers......... well after that you get too see river rain down death on the reavers by slicing and dicing here way through the masses of the bastards just to be surroned by the allience scum.
it just shows so much love that reaver has devolpewd for the cruw and her brother simon and is willing to get killed her self just so the others can live.

my fav FF episode is "War Stories" because agian of the none stop action through out the episode, but most of all river just kick ass.
kill 3 scum bags with 3 shots, but most of all with her eyes closed

so let me know what you think kk

Of course my favorite scene in the film is, and always will be, "I am a Leaf on the wind." It's just shuch an inasanely stupid/cool thing to say. Sucks how he got killed though.

For FireFly: The coolest part ever is when Mal says "Darn" and kicks the assasin into the turbine. It's in "The Train Job".

Hahaha! Mine is an evil laugh... Now die!

My favorite part of the movie, well isn't even in the movie. The alternate scene with the Operative and Mal at the very end of the film. I understand why Whedon cut it but if it had been me I would have left it in. It suggests that the Operative has gone through the same thing as Mal and while he might be lost, he will find himself, whereas the ending in the film seems to suggest that he's finished.

Plus its got one of the best lines ever in it. "What a whiner."

As far as my favorite part of the show, Im sure I could list all sorts of Niska moments and so forth. You may have noticed that I have some affection for him. But I'll go with the moment that Mal opens the cryo-chamber and sees River and goes "Huh" I think that was the moment I realized that Firefly was better then bad but good.

Favorite scene of the movie? That's a tough one there is so much to love. I think I have to go with the companion training house although I give honorable mention to the flying through the battle scene and River vs. the reavers.

Favorite episode? That would be Out of Gas. My favorite line being, "We all die alone."

In the movie my favorite scene is when River is triggered in the bar. Fun to watch summer kick a guy from around a bar and to watch her take out Jayne.

In the series i love any time Simon gets ahead of himself being so arigant and anying that Mal feels the need to punch him square in the face.

I guess my favorite scenes are:
"Did he just go crazy and fall asleep?"
and:
"It's ok to leave them to die."

Or maybe not. I think all of Out of Gas is my favorite scene. Since I once read a full length novel for a short story project I'd say having a whole episode be my favorite scene is right in line with who I am.

My favorite scene from the movie, besides River kicking ass, would have to be after the barfight, when Simon is cleaning up River's wounds. That whole scene gets to me every time.

River: "It isn't mine, the memories, it isn't mine...don't make me sleep again (single tear rolls down)".

As for the series, that's tough, the episode and scene that's fresh in my mind is the end of OiS, seeing River in the oversized spacesuit, floating down to Mal.

River: "Permission to come aboard"
Mal: "You know, ya aint right"
River: "That's the popular theory"
Mal: "Go on, give your brother a thrashing for messing up your plan"
River: "He takes so much looking after" (also the look on her face when she says this is priceless)

That last line is hilarious and gets me everytime.

Oh, yeah. That was always a favorite of mine. Mal kicks open the cryo-chamber, sees what's inside, then eyeballs each character in the room, one at a time.

It's just crying out for a big ol' chunk of exposition, or at least a big "yelling an' holler'n" scene from Mal. Instead, what does he do? He looks back down at River and goes "Huh?".

Cracked me up first time I saw it. Cracks me up even now.

Cheers,
Johnboy

Summer Glau is so good with facial expressions! She has so many little "!?!?" expressions throughout the movie alone...

*River walks in, hears voices
River: *points to man
Zoe: *tilts head towards man questioningly
River: *priceless expression

Simon: Am I... talking to Miranda right now?
River: *priceless expression

There're better ones, I know, I just can't think of them. KF

Serenity-
I have to go with
"Make me a stone."
That whole monologue just puts me in tears every time, and then Jayne come in and you think he's going to diss on River and instead he agrees with her. PRICELESS.

"Firefly"
I can never decide between the scene in "Out of Gas" when Mal asks, "You all gonna be here when I wake up?"
and the scene in "Safe"-
"You gave up everthing to find me. You found me broken."

Just too many REALLY good moments!

My favorite part of BDM is how cold and ruthless Mal behaves after Sheppard dies and Mal confronts the Operative. He pushes everyone so hard, not because he wants to, but because he knows he *has* to. Then the scene immediately after, you see it killing him. What a true captain!!!

Favorite FF scene: In "Safe" the whole scene of River and Simon after River had come back with the berries. Them kidding each other (she tricks him into eating the "poison berries" and laughes her arse off, then "you are such a brat" response. It's so cute they, after all the trauma and tragedy, are just brother and sister working their way through it together.

OH! Also the very short scene in the (real) pilot. After Kaylee gets shot, half of the screen is Kaylee on the surgery table. The other half of the screen is Jayne hunched over, hand to mouth, watching with fear. What a small but powerful statement about who Jayne really is!

post-holer......for digging holes-for posts.

All right! A chance to see everyone else loves Oog as well! It was the damned moustache that did it for me (All-time favourite out-take with the mo's!)!

As for Serenity, I think one of the most visually funny bits was watching the Reaver fleet break out of the clouds, and the pull-back scene to show the two fleets. You can almost *hear* the Screech!! as you see the reaver fleet brake! Gold. And then the frantic command to fire? Priceless!

I call her Vira...

Fly:
Has been 'OoG' for a long time, 'you'll gonna be here.....' and the Wash flashback 'Will do'. However I've found myself watching 'The Train Job' alot lately and love the bar fight at the beginning, 'We'll rise again' all the way up to Jayne laughing to himself 'blow a crater in this moon'

Serenity:
I think it has to be the crew mounting the Mule. From Mal telling River 'this is what I do darlin' he then reflects 'This is what I do'(makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up), all the way to the end of that scene, Simon saying to River 'Its ok to leave them to die'. Nice scene. Love the music in it as well.

But he IS finished. Thats the whole point. After Serenity Valley Mal was finished, no more kissing the cross, no more optimism.

Having the operative get all weepy would have made it look like LESS of a loss, because he'd actually talked about his loss as opposed to suffering it silently.

You almost get the feeling he's going to go find a monastery and become a shepard.

I don't recall the exact quotes from the movie, where the operative is speaking to Dr. Mathias, but it was something like this..."You know, in certain older civilized cultures, when men failed as totally as you have, they would throw themselves on their swords.

After failing totally to stop the secret from getting out, the Operative responds to the captain's "If I ever see you again..." threat with "You won't..." it sounded a bit more permanent to me that a trip to the monastery.

From Firefly I would have to go with, as someone said before, when Mal first looked into the cryo crate at River and gives that "huh" with a nod. From the BDM I think my favorite scene would have to be the long shot that doesn't appear to cut which takes you through Serenity. It gave me chills if you really appreciate the whole thing I mean you see the ship the crew and just the technical aspects of it and the time it must have taken to put together. Not to mention the acting abilities of the cast to get that shot right.
