Whoa. I just watched the BDM for the first time since NAM. I had previously been studiously viewing episodes from the t.v. show over and over. When I watched the movie yesterday I just about started crying when Mal tells Zoe to hold till he gets back; all this just moments after Wash dies. Obviously echoes from the pilot. Wow. I'm probably going into counseling now.

Yeah! I'll hold till I can no longer remember what I'm holding for. And probably even after that. At least we have each other.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Some of us have been holding for a while now. We'll keep on holding until Joss & the BDHs make it back.

I too was struck by that line, enough so that I made it my signature line.

I'm here til death. Literally. I'm never leaving Serenity Valley. I'll hold, on the line, until Mal comes back and tells me we've won the war.

Can't do anything else....

I love this place and these people and this ship and my Captain and crew. With all my heart and soul. No turning back now.

Agreed. "Once you've been to Serenity, you never leave. You just learn how to live there." ;p

Having (for the most part) been converted from renting the BDM on a whim, it was awhile before I really understood the significance of that line. I don't think there's any question as to why it speaks so much to the 'coats, either.

We'll hold 'till Mal gets back, and if something something happens to him, or we don't hear from him... we take the ship and come rescue him ;p

My throat gets tight at that part every time. Don't think it's ever get old.

I also get a reaction from the Joss intro piece in the special features. When he says, "We have done the impossible, and that makes us mighty," I just about go through the roof. Fortunately my wife is out of town visiting family, or I would have scared her to death with my latest " yeah! This is My in' movie!"

"When your miracle gets here, just pound that button and it will call back both shuttles" - Wash to Mal, in Out of Gas.

On the DVD, turn on the commentary and cue up on Chapter 9. Alan Tudyk stole that button after the last show was done. He put it on Joss's desk with a note: "When your miracle gets here, just push this button"

I find it helpful to get insanely busy and not have any time to warch Firefly at all, or barely even check the sight for your crew with great types like FollowMal or Chrisisall at lunch. Then, one weekend you'll find yourself with not a lot to do, like if your spouse and child head out to visit realtives and you can't go because you have to teach class, and then you can have back to back FF/S marathons. You'll be surprised at how many new things you see when you don't get to see them very often.

Ideally, of course, you'd be able to do this without the freakishly busy part.

Yeah, she'll come in early and get right in my face and whisper, "Daddy, all done nap." Wouldn't trade it for a thousand sequels. But, then again, life is not only an either/or, but also a both/and.

While we don't have more firefly/Serenity (just yet) we got each other - and that's gorram shiny. We got a real sense of family here on this site, and it's cool to have found this home. And even though sometimes we have disagreements on these threads (and Jayne has to walk away from the table) we're all here for one reason - a shared love of Firefly and everything that it means to us. I'm proud to be a browncoat, proud to stand up for such a great show - and proud to be in such fine company as all of you.

That's why I'll never stop holding the line.

Misery does indeed love company. I'm a Browncoat from now to forever. I've experienced Serenity and can never forget.

I've converted my husband! Yay me! My son likes the show too, although the nuance is lost a bit on him so far.

I'm grateful to all of you that continue to keep the hope alive, with your images and fanfics...Thank you!

I love you all and will stand and hold with you until I can't stand anymore... then I'll sit with you and hold.

You all make me feel young! I am the age of some of your "baby's." Just about nineteen years old. I am new to the site and I hope you guys can make some room for a young noobie. I got addicted when my boyfriend and some other friends dragged me to see the BDM my first month of college. Started watching the BDS my second semester. Needless to say, decided between doing my homework and watching the DVDs is a toughie.

But Ima keep holdin' y'all. Holdin' til Mal gets back. 'Cause he will.
