I was there. The mystery guest was Michelle Trachtenberg. All 3 signed my shiny new OMWF soundtrack, and I got Joss's John Hancock on a CCG card of the Master. While I was there, he commented that he's coming out with a companion volume to the Tales of the Slayer graphic novel, Tales of the Vampires. No details yet, even in Joss's mind; he couldn't tell me for sure if there'd be a Master story.

If I'd known you were going, I would have asked you to tell him, "Finish Fray!!!!"

JOSS, WHERE'S MY CHECK???!!!

First of all, Fray's delay is not JW's fault. The artist quit Dark Horse for another comic company so now there's the problem of, well, no art.

In fact, I know that JW's already turned in the script for the next Fray. In fact, the same day he--unasked for and unannounced--dropped off his script for one of the Tales of the Vampires stories. He apparently just had an idea and stomped it out.

Once again, when the heck does that man sleep?

And as for Mister-I'm-So-Great-Look-At-My-Autographed-CD Guy... well, you suck. I would sell my soul for a JW autographed OMWF soundtrack. That and improve my miniture golf game, but I guess it's too late for that now, isn't it?

Not Whedon's fault? pfft!

Everybody knew Karl Moline (I think that's the guy) was leaving for Crossgen at a specific date when they started "Fray." Had Joss not fallen behind in delivering scripts, they would have completed the series before he left. But Joss did fall behind, and the guy had to go. Now the artist is pulling double duty, finishing up "Fray" and whatever he's doing at his new digs.

Well, I'm not gonna get too critical of a guy who has furnished most of my serious entertainment for the last couple of years. But I do think he's spreading himself too thin.

JOSS, WHERE'S MY CHECK???!!!

Actually, I think the artist left early.

Possibly, I could be wrong. I was only being sarcastically angry. I'm patient.
