Well, after an awesome show like Firefly got the boot, what shows did you guys get hooked on afterwards?(but ya know, after the therapy).
I for one, am totally into "Six Feet Under", and yes, I am going crazy for a FOX show too. I'm not proud of it, but I am very much liking "The O.C.". What about you guys? what is your new show that you HAVE to watch every week?

I cancelled my cable. There's nothing worth watching now. It's only by some blessing from Athena (and idiot cable men) that I have free cable for a while, and managed to catch Wonderfalls tonight.

Athena? I heard she didn't watch TV either.

Come on, The O.C.? I might allow for 6 Feet Under though I personally find it cliche and trite the one time I watched it with my girlfriend.

And hell yah when is Brisco coming out on DVD already?

Well, I already watched Stargate before Firefly, so that doesn't count......

The only shows that I've really gotten hooked into since Firefly ended are Joan of Arcadia and Buffy (in reruns).

Wonderfalls might be added to that list. I like it well enough, but I'm not hooked yet.

The only shows currently in production I feel the need to watch are the three S's. Sopranos, South Park and Simpsons in just that order.

The only other shows I don't need to watch but enjoy watching that are currently made are Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law and Aqua Teen Hunger Force on Cartoon Network Sunday nights. If you haven't checked these two shows out they are funny as hell.

Wonderfalls is the only show I've been hooked on since Firefly. I was hooked on 24 and Alias for a bit but this season has left me underwhelmed for both. Angel's cancelled. The West Wing and should a miracle occur, Wonderfalls, may be the only shows I stay hooked on past this season.

I got hooked on HBO's 'Carnivale', ESPN's 'Playmakers' (which they cancelled), and was trying to get back into 'Enterprise', but that didnt pan out (no offense to the Trekkers out there, but that show's writing wasnt that great; and after 35 years of time travel plots, more time travel plots arent the way to be fresh and exciting) -
Now I'm attempting Wonderfalls-

Before Firefly I had satellite, and wondered why the shows I watched were "S" shows:
The Simpsons, StarTrek, SouthPark, and SciFi in general...
Now, I have a regular Saturday nite Firefly DVD group, no satellite, and I'm much happier.
Still catch the Simpsons, though, they're like the dysfunctional family I never had!
Did see one episode of Century City last week: great concept, yet somehow poorly executed...
And I enjoyed Carnivale's first season, but moved and NEVER saw the season finale! And for some reason, never got into either Enterprise or Stargate (seems mundane). So what is left? And does anyone elso think that reality shows are the most ultimately boring useless thing to watch on t.v.? I mean, I can hear boring stories from the people I care about instead of watching total strangers' being manipulated by low-budget producers. I think t.v. is for all the shiny stuff you can't see in "reality-land".
Oh well, I still have Serenity...

Give the Jeremiah season 1 dvd set a try. Season 2 is in hiatus/limbo mid-season and it's probably going to be cancelled too, but that's probably one of the selling points. Cancelled = good show these days!?!? LOL :(

After Firefly??? There is television after Firefly?

I was already watching Stargate SG1 before Firefly, so that doesn't count. The only thing really I have been watching on a regular basis since FF is Angel since TNT has started running the earlier seasons at 5 EST.

I live in NY and the pickings are slim. I have 1259 channels available to me ..and there are about 4 stations that ever have anything on them worth watching.

MI-5 Excellent show..slightly toned down from the European version I'm sure.

My favorite TV station is BBC America. I watch Simpsons when they are on. Other then that..its BBC.. (and the occasional Food Network show hehe) I'm a huge fan of "The Two Fat Ladies" I only own a couple episodes..but still good stuff.

One show I was Obsessed with..and we can only get like a few episodes every blue moon is "Jonathan Creek". Awesome Hippie-fied Detective/deduction type show. I was sad to see that it had been canceled. I'm still trying to get my hands on all the episodes in DVD format.. No luck yet. BTW for all you Buffy/Angel Fans- Anthony Stewart Head played Jonathan's Illusionist Boss, Adam Klaus, for about 3 episodes in season 1. He was replaced after season 1 because he took a part on some vampire slayer TV show..go figure.

Wonderfalls and Arrested Development.

I haven't seen enough episodes of either of these to definitively rate them as "watch like mad" shows yet, but so far they have me intrigued.

Wonderfalls is random and quirky as all hell, which appeals to me. Someone on another thread said its quirkiness was Ally McBeal-ish, and I'd say yes to a point, but before Ally McBeal began to suck (of course, if you never liked Ally McBeal to begin with, that would be the first episode, but for me it was later in the show's run).

Arrested Development is quite twisted and probably not for everyone, but it's kept me laughing so far.

24 is still the only show I watch religiously, even with the 'meh' storyline this season.

I checked out Deadwood on HBO last night, and thought that the one thing that would make it worth watching was adding spaceships.

And for all ASH fans and Spooks (damn MI-5 as the title, that's the tag line and no more - "its MI-5, not 9 to 5), ASH appears in season 2 for an episode, with what sounds like the worst cockney accent ever - except its his real accent!

He's also the PM in the hilarious Little Britain TV show.

"Spooks" used to be a derogatory term for people of African decent in some areas. Not sure if that has anything to do with anything... much less the reason for changing a name of a show... but you never know.

I used to watch Law and Order - after a while though, you know the pacing and the standard plotline/plotline variants and it all pretty much seems the same. The various spin-offs haven't seemed much different. Same show, different crimes.

I really wanted to give "Enterprise" a chance. The infamous "gel decontamination" scene in the Pilot, followed by a lot of gratiutous flesh in subsequent episodes (Vulcan pressure techniques my a**, McBain) just turned me off. I have no problem whatsoever with sex and/or scantily clad people on TV, but when it has zero pertinence to the plot, it's just pandering.

Tried "Stargate SG-1" for a while but then it seemed to get silly.

Watched Futurama, but it got bounced around between timeslots on Canadian cable and it was hard to find from week to week. Then... cancellerama.

Simpsons and South Park are currently the only shows that I make a solid effort to watch. I find it really sad that a 15-year old cartoon that probably peaked about ten years ago and a mildly entertaining but mostly unimaginative satire cartoon are the best ongoing non-cable TV series available right now.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Sopranos and Six Feet Under, but both are way too far into the series to be able to start watching now. I guess I'll have to borrow or rent the DVD box sets.

A definite possibility - for more trivial reasons, but over here Smallville was initially subtitled as Superman to let people know what it was really about.

I watched Enterprise from the beginning; cried when they ended Farscape; enjoyed the last couple episodes of Carnivale and am looking forward to season 2, and my coworkers got me watching the BBC's show Monarch of the Glen; but the only show to have captured me like Firefly is The L Word on Showtime. I've been watching it since the first ep. and I love it. But it is in a totally different category from Firefly - it's not scifi.

The entirety of my TV viewing this year has been:
Angel, Smallville, Alias and 24. I watch the Simpsons when possible, and my wife is tragically, inexplicably addicted to Friends. I resist adding new TV shows to my life, even when I hear raves about, say, Arrested Development.

However, someone posted here on fireflyfans.net Tim Minear's plea to give Wonderfalls a chance. Minute my wife saw it, she loved the main character, we both thought the show was a lot of quirky fun. So there's the answer: The only show I've picked up since Firefly ended is the show Fox now has in the same trap-door time slot.

Kozure, I only found the Sopranos in the third season it's not too late to be into it. And you can rent Sopranos in most video stores. It's some of the best drama I've ever seen. And it's often as funny as Simpsons or South Park. I suggest to everyone to give it a chance. It's some of the best television ever made.

Dead Like Me was great, but like FINN MAC CUMHAL said, it feels like it's been cancelled because new shows won't start up until summer. I enjoy Monk too (another show on a wacky schedule)...and somehow got hooked on Queer Eye For the Straight Guy (that's as close to reality TV as I get)...

Arrested Development, The Daily Show and Scrubs are my comedies of the moment - other then that it's DVDs of Firefly, Angel, and Buffy every other night.

CSI. I got into it about a month-and-a-half ago and I am AAAAAAAAALL about CSI right now. It's very similar to the Firefly high I had in January where I almost couldn't go through a day without watching it and there is a certain relief in seeing an eps. I even regretted (a lil bit) missing it on Friday for a UFC ppv.

(Not so much, but it's close to must-watch):

Cracking Up - the one reason not to boycott FOX. This is such a funny show ("They call me the Rainmaker! Cause I got the skills to pay the bills!". Best comedy on Television today, IMO.

I often watch the Daily Show my own self but I miss the original cast. I thought Craig Killborn was way better than John Stewert. And I'm I the only one who thinks that A. Whittney Brown should have gotten the seat after Craig? To me A. Whittney Brown is one of the most under-rated comedians of all time. Every time he's on it's funny but I haven't seen him since Craig left. Oh well.

Er, um, I don't watch TV.

Didn't even have one until I got the urge to rent a movie and all they had was VHS, so I had to buy a TV - so I got one - brand new for $60. :)

Got to watch my first Firefly this past Sunday - and I sat there with a bunch of friends and gorged on it for about 10 hours as we watched all of the episodes on the first 3 DVD's except the last one.

Firefly has the greatest... attitude since the last show that I liked that was cancelled - Freedom .

Maybe Fox will respond to - violence. Heh heh, just kidding. Sort of.

I'll be getting the boxed set sometime soon so that I can convert new addic... fans. :)

Angel was, this season. Before that, i really liked Peacemakers. Now i guess all i have is Joan of Arcadia and Touching Evil.

Liked Enterprises' theme ballad, but the Xindi thing drove me away. Use your prototype on the enemy so that you alert them to the problem and piss them off?!

I need to get with my buddies and watch Farscape on DVD. Back when it was still on, i started to associate it with that soft-porn space opera, what was it called, just becuase they were the same network. Stupid me, but there it is.

Miss John Doe for Karen Kowalski anf that detective e worked with, not becuase it was great!
