I was watching the NFL playoffs this weekend and saw Alan Tudyk in a Direct TV commercial...I couldn't find any reference to it here so I did some digging and found it on their site... I thought I post a link to the page for those of you who aren't aware of it or haven't seen it. It is the first video on the right of the Direct TV page.

I'm not big on watching videos at work, but is it the bank robbery one where he's on the floor? If so it was out a while back, but then it was off the air for a while as far as I could tell. They just started airing it again recently. Sorta funny commercial I guess.

SOOOOOO not a new commercial.
been around at least a year. they just gave it some time off for good behavior before dusting it of and running the shit out of it again.

will likely disappear again after the Super bowl.

Yeah, its the bank robbery one. i was pretty psyched when I saw it for the first time. During my searches for it I saw some references to him being in a DirecTV commercial as far back as Jan 2009...sorta unusual they would revive such an old commercial, so I was wondering if it was a new followup commercial to an old one, apparently not. I guess they are saving money by airing an old one, hopefully Alan gets some good residual payments for it being re-aired.

You know, Alan's floor buddy is Dule' Hill, who stars on the t.v. show 'PSYCH'. I've never caught the show, but I've seen him on the ads. Looks like a decent enough program.
