Originally posted by NewsAdmin: There's a rumor going around that the USA Network and the Sci-Fi Channel has picked up Joss Whedon's "Firefly" in a repurposing deal. The deal will allow both networks to re-broadcast episodes of Firefly several days after their original run on FOX. Both networks will be paying anywhere between $100,000 to $150,000 for the encore broadcast. The payments will offset the cost of producing the $1.3 per episode original science fiction series.

Quote:Originally posted by shadowmagik: You need to reread the original article at Futon Critic more carefully. The repurposing deal for "Firefly" only deals directly with Sci-Fi, not USA Network. Futon Critic had mentioned USA Network because of its repurposing pick-up of Michael Mann's new show "R.H.D./L.A."
