Arrests for nothing. Big fat police on skinny kids. Very telling. Cowards.
I couldn't even be there myself, I'd force a pile of cops to kill me- I SO respect these people who go quietly. It takes so much strength.

It's spreading, you Alliance scum.
Can't stop this signal now.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

It must suck to be a NYC cop today. Talk about hating your job. Being paid to be a fascist creep must really lower your self esteem some.
Or they could be robots...

That's what a ship is, you know - it's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs.

I posted it earlier in a RWED thread, but if you missed it there, it might give ya some hope.

That's the truth of it.

Thanks.

BTW, where is AU standing in all this? Haven't heard a peep from him on the matter...

Oh, and only 400 arrested? What? They couldn't get them ALL??? Nice that they tried to pick all colours, ages & genders, though. Wouldn't wanna seem like Nazis or anything...

And they don't get their fat pension if they arrest the real copkillers from 9/11. Where does that get fun?

JONGSSTRAW

700 of America's most passionate were arrested yesterday blocking the Brooklyn Bridge. Now anything that keeps people from leaving Brooklyn must be a good thing, so I hope none of those arrested were treated too unpleasantly.

WHOZIT

Check the Drudge Report, there's a picture on the home page of about a dozen fat cops on the Brooklyn Bridge. When I saw it I remembered all those "cops in a dounut shop" jokes.

What I find as outrageous as anything else is just how blatant the bribery was.

New York City Police Foundation — New York

JPMorgan Chase recently donated an unprecedented $4.6 million to the New York City Police Foundation. The gift was the largest in the history of the foundation and will enable the New York City Police Department to strengthen security in the Big Apple. The money will pay for 1,000 new patrol car laptops, as well as security monitoring software in the NYPD's main data center.

New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly sent CEO and Chairman Jamie Dimon a note expressing "profound gratitude" for the company's donation.

"These officers put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe," Dimon said. "We're incredibly proud to help them build this program and let them know how much we value their hard work."

So much for serving the public trust and conflicts of interest, right ?

Even a minimal level of accountability seems impossible:

tch-credit-crunch-bandits-.html

In November 2009, Attorney General Eric Holder vowed before television cameras to prosecute those responsible for the market collapse a year earlier, saying the U.S. would be “relentless” in pursuing corporate criminals.

In the 18 months since, no senior Wall Street executive has been criminally charged, and some lawmakers are questioning whether the U.S. Justice Department has been aggressive enough after declining to bring cases against officials at American International Group Inc. (AIG) and Countrywide Financial Corp. . . .

"Can that many companies have collapsed -- large financial firms -- and not one criminal case comes out of it?" said Peter Henning, a law professor at Wayne State University in Detroit who previously was a federal prosecutor and attorney for the SEC. "That seems to go against the norm of the savings-and-loan crisis, and the accounting frauds 10 years ago."

Some of the biggest Wall Street firms rebounded from the crisis stronger than ever. Goldman Sachs’s 2009 profits were a record for the firm and JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM)'s earnings in 2010 and the first quarter of 2011 have been at an all-time high.
