They've been promising this future-soldier biz as long as I've been paying attention.

Believe it when I see it.

There ain't nothin' I can't overcome or come to know. So lay your heavy load down on me, strip everything I have away. I am not your prisoner, I am not afraid.

I dont know how old you all are, but I remember reading about all of this kind of stuff in Popular Science back when I was a kid (Longer ago than I think I care to admit). What ever happened to the flying suits, and exoskeletons? Last time I saw an "exo" was in "Aliens"! Still dont see them for real.

Back in the late 80s' there was a battle rifle developed by Heckler and Koch called the G11. Google it and you will still find info on it. Very cool weapon, but development was halted for reasons I dont recall. 4.7mm caseless ammo, highly impressive firing system, and accurate out beyond 300 meters. As I recall according to a "Janes" (NO COMPARISONS PUH-LEEZE!) guide back in 1987, it was capable of punching a hole through a steel helmet at that distance.

I'm with you-Believe it when I see it as well.
