The Prisoner, was the wildest show possibly ever made! So ahead of it's time, full of action, thought provoking. Only 17 episodes, yet it had the depth of a multi- season program. I still can't put into words all that I see in it! How much was in number 6's head? Did he know something he didn't know on a concious level? There are so many ways you could take it. Were we seeing what literally was happening or HIS experience in the Village? Only reasion I don't own em is cause I've practically MEMORIZED em I've seem em so many times.

Best thing about the Prisoner is that Patrick Magowan refuses to explain the concept! Which I think is fantastic. On the reruns they had a discussion from all sorts involved in the show, friends family etc, and all have tried to have Patirck explain it. But he refuses.

But you're right, there are so many issues. Was he number one? Was he the all seeing overlord of the compound and therefore suffering form a 'God' like complex, testing his minions??? Or if not who is Number 1? Why the pennyfarthing bicycle? Who where all those people and why didn't they mind being there?
