Quote: Lost is very over rated. I would recommend buying the first season for Deadwood, Battlestar Galactica and Veronica Mars way before Lost. Most viewers come away from Lost a little disappointed, because the writers seems to be more interested in giving us our weekly flash backs than actually telling us what is going on on the island. Giving us back story on each character every single week, week after week after week seem rather excessive and makes the stories on the island less involving. Maybe in season two they will finally focus on the island and give the flash backs a rest for a while. It's like they are spending the whole of the first season giving us the back story on all the characters and then in season two they will finally start telling us the actual story.

Maybe most people you know, but most people I know come away looking like a paralyzed crack addict wondering how they're going to get their next fix. As for the flashbacks, they are essential, not just because we need to know what's up with the characters. They're starting to show that everyone on the island was somehow connected before they even stepped on the plane. Plus, if we were watching hour after hour after hour of stuff on the island, they'd run out of stories pretty quick. ---------------------------------------------- An escalator can never break.
