More details about the second season of Dr. who have been announced, and Anthony Stewart Head is going to appear in the series!

Also, Elisabeth Sladen will be reprising her iconic role as Sarah Jane Smith, companion (not in the Firefly sense of the word!) to Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker's Doctors:

I'm excited now. I've been downloading old Doctor Who episodes and I'm waiting on the first seriel that Sarah Jane apperas in. It'll be interesting to see how the character is re-introduced and how she'll react to the new Doctor.

And Tony is showing up! I'm probably more excited for that one.

And hey, they have new pictures up of David Tennant and Billie Piper. I can't wait for Christmas now.

And will she still have K-9 with her?

The Doctor seems to be wearing a browncoat...

Oh yeah, I forgot about K-9. What was the story behind that thing?

Apparently there have been rights negotitions going on for K-9, similar to what happened with the Daleks last season. If they can iron out the rights, K-9 may appear with Sarah.

Perhaps Russell T. Davies is a closet Browncoat...

I'm not sure what to think of the Doctor's new look. I know that every time the Doctor regenerated he got a new look, but I miss the Ninth's Doctor "U-boat Captian" look, as Capt. Jack described it. Though I'm loving the tennis shoes with the suit. Very eclectic.

It's a good look, I think. I wonder if they do the usual post-regeneration wardrobe test scene?

OK, when is season one either going to be shown in the U.S. or released on DVD? I want to see it already.

Oh, sweetie, don't feel bad. He makes everybody cry. He's like a monster.

There have been no announcements for a broadcast or DVD release of the new Who in the US yet. I recently deciced to bypass the whole issue, and bought a region-free DVD player so I can just buy the box set when it comes out in England in November.

Plus, I've now been able to get Blakes 7 on DVD, and have been rewatching all the episodes of that - fantastic show!

I have a region free DVD player and I already own a copy of Sapphire and Steel (highly recommended) and plan on buying Blake's 7 shortly. Knowing there will be a UK DVD release is good enough for me Very shiny.

Several "vanilla" DVDs of the new Dr. Who are already available from UK dealers, with 3 episodes per disc and no extras. A box set of all 13 episodes, with lots of special features and commentary tracks on all the episodes, will be out in November.

How is Sapphire and Steel? I've heard of it, but have never seen it.
