I can't wait! I was pissed off when the series finale aired, especially with that ending.

Well, what I thought was the ending.

Farscape was perhaps the best show on the Scifi Channel.

The 17th & 18th of October to be exact. Gorram Sci Fi airing it on a Sunday and Monday. *sigh* I have no idea why they hate this show so much!

Farscape was and is awesome. maybe, a long shot but still maybe if it gets a lot of viewers they could bring it back. i doubt it but stranger things have happened

I hate that Sci-Fi seems set on making sure that no one sees the Farscape Mini if they don't already watch scifi fridays. Has any one even noticed an ad for it outside scifi fridays?

Not yet, but I never watch it any other night *sigh*

At least they finally got the link working for the commercial, at the Scifi/farscape site.

Off topic: Dewshine, is your nick from Elfquest by any chance?

Why yes it is....Someone finally noticed! People keep thinking it has something to do with Mt. Dew for some reason. Dewshine is my favorite female character from Elfquest, btw...

My boyfriend in High School got me into Elfquest (this was 1989). I collected almost all the comics from the first series (I'm missing two at the most), or however you want to put it. Before they changed companies. A couple from that new company. A lot of the thick books that had basically all the comics in it, etc. I have nothing new, though. I have seen they started up again at some point.

I might have to get them back out and read them again, or see if I can get my kids into them LOL

hey, shiny...
My hubby got me into Elfquest, funny how that works...
We have all of them but were less than happy with the guest artists used later in the second run.

Oh, well...
I'm still very happy that Farscape is coming back on. If you ever went to check out other sci-fi or pick up pictures try out planetslam.com.

DRAGONFLYDIRECTOR

Neat Item : Brian Henson and his sisters OWN FarScape now! SciFi has first option on airing it, but the Hensons have bought ALL the Henson properties back ... last year, I think.

It was to the tune of 82+ MILLION dollars.

They even got back the original Muppets {Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzy Bear, Gonzo and a coupla others} from the German company that tried to EBay those Henson treasures they had aquired.

Henson's also now re-own these properties other than Farscape: Fraggle Rock, The Muppet Show, The Bear in the Big Blue House, Dark Crystal and any other property that Jim Henson had started.

Hee hee, sorry just had to share the news! h

Its all very well and good that SciFi will air the mini series but no ones picked it up for the UK yet and I'm very annoyed about that. Since BB2 originally showed it over here b4 SciFi got their claws into it and they're not getting to show it.

The saga of the Henson company bears some watching. I only really found out how close it was to being a total loss and sellout just recently, when the Disney deal prompted me to look up a few things. It's great that all of it is back in family hands, and that they are now trying to treat Jim's work properly. I'm still not so sure about Disney, lord knows that kiddie corporation is FUBAR, but I guess we'll just have to see.

As for Farscape, only two words fit.

HELL YEAH.

I think the BBC are looking at it, but money will be the problem, particularly now they have to justify everything with the new public service angle - in theory that could mean an end to American imports. Hopefully they will pick it up though; but I'm not sure how it fits their programming - its not an "event" they would publicise, so it would have to cheap enough for them.

This is what the BBC website says:

...."the US Sci Fi Channel has announced that they will premiere the mini-series on October 17th. No UK premiere date has yet been set."

Suggestion must be that they are looking at it - no guarantee though, because the website is fairly autonomous from the channel, but here's hoping.

Return as in full on series or another mini series? It just kills me that this show was canceled. Even more frustrating is the ridiculous prices for the DVDs. Coupled with sci-fi never showing reruns and I haven't seen many of the episodes since they originally aired. Not sure which is more likely to occur first, reasonably priced DVDs or a return to television.

Scifi recently said that they understood cancelling the Farscape was a mistake, Sony (new studio player) and Henson got the current rights and scifi said they may return to the universe by hosting some downloadable webisodes on their website. Perhaps we can look forward to a new Web series featuring farscape luxans and farscape delvians

NEEDY

The road to Hel is paved with good intentions

Wow, this is supershiny news!!!!

I had kinda forgotten about Farscape continuing, I know there was talk that it could carry on after the miniseries, but Peacekeeper Wars was a fitting ending that I didnt mind if it didnt return after.
This news though has got me going again though.
I just hope it does the show justice.
I dont know how good it can be as a webisode - now must be clear, I've not really seen many webisodes, apart from BSG's Resistance which was okay, but nothing spectacular and the Smallville webisodes, which were on the most part bad. badly acted, badly scripted, bad.

I wonder what the new web series will be centred around, but I imagine if it is going to live up to the standard the series set, then its a shame it will be only available on the net.

Have to wait and see I gues
