Just stumbled over the book < http://tinyurl.com/2l3dv3> tied-in with this at the library, and was quite simply overwhelmed!

Space Odyssey: Voyage to the Planets Introduction (Quicktime 10.6MB)

This is the "ultimate detail" Hard SF project I've always dreamed of!
I mean, just the shuttle tiles on the Cupola alone is worth the price of the DVD for me!
IMHO, the hard suit for the Venus excursion is something NASA could use right now: then astronauts wouldn't have to pre-breathe pure oxygen for hours & hours before an EVA, since they'd be pressurized at normal sea-level 14.7 psi.

I saw this last year and really enjoyed it. The thing that makes it special and stand out from the normal planet documentaries is that it adds that human touch. Awe and disappointment, joy and loss.
