My newspaper goes all out when a canadian does well in the entertainment business. Here is what it said:

Firefly and Dr. Horrible alum Nathan Fillion could star in a show where he watches paint dry and we'd still tune in. (No really -- we even watched Fox's hilariously bad Drive just because he was on it.) Luckily, Castle looks far more interesting than that. Fillion plays Richard Castle, a suave mystery writer who becomes an NYPD consultant when a series of murders appear to copy the exact plots of Castle's novels.

Is it sad how that first line is so true?

Actually, I'm picturing that? And seriously, he could make that HILARIOUS.

It wouldn't be hilarious, it would be hysterical.

Drive was hilariously bad?

I quite liked that show...and no, not just for Fillion. Eh.

Why is it I'm curious about Drive now? Hilariously bad? Not so bad? Oh well, maybe if I have time and inclination (and money? Would I need money or can I Hulu it?) someday...

I agree though, the sentence about watching paint dry... is not too far off. :P I'm fairly sure Nathan Fillion could make even that entertaining.

Do you think he'd be willing to watch paint dry and put it up on the internet? 'cause I'd watch it!

I'd watch it on the internet too. I'm chuckling just thinking about it. LOL

And I liked Drive too...enough to make Alex Tully an ancestor of Mal's in one of my fics. I liked all the characters except the soldier and his wife.

YES! The soldier was meh.

And, I've got to admit that the convict guy was annoying. He was kinda cliched. But aside from that, I found it great fun! It wasn't exceptionally realistic, life-changing TV, but it was damn fun and intriguing. And that was the first 4 (or 6?) episodes!!

I really enjoyed Drive too. I don't think it's available anywhere unless you are willing to download it.
