I have seen the trailer. Good trailer. Reminds me of the orignal film. Walking through a gate and not having any clue what will happen on the other side. I don't have cable, so I always have to wait for these SyFy series to arrive on HULU or syndication. This one will air in early October.
The drama appears more intense then any of the earlier Stargate series. Of course this is what the trailer implies. Trailers can be misleading. But if you start watching this series, I would like to hear your views. One of the reasons I list Firefly very high is the blend deadly serious drama with humour of a crew flying on the edge. I got that same feeling from the trailer for this new series.
I have my fingers crossed in hopes of a new and exciting science fiction series. So if it continues beyond one season then there is hope of syndication and I will see it.

Just like every spin off, I try to keep my expectations low- that way I can be pleasantly surprised. I'm staying away from the press and the hype for that very reason.

Fingers crossed. We need some good sci-fi!!!

That is alright. Everyone has there own tastes. If we agreed on everything here, that would be freaky. If I do get a chance to see this series I may not like it myself.
