Get it. Period. Great story, great art- you will NOT regret it; Donner co-wrote it!.
The hard cover has 3D Phantom Zone action in chapter 4 (of five) and I totally recommend it! Non 3D fans can groove to the regular trade paperback. It's excellent either way.

This what the last Superman flick COULD have & SHOULD have been, gorram it!

And if you liked Last Son, you may want to look into the New Krypton arc(s), which revisit Christopher Kent and Zod.

Zod actually ends up being kinda likeable; he's like a Kryptonian Bialar Crais.
