I thought it improved on the first in many ways, but tried so hard to not be like it, that it failed in others.

The scene in the first where Hulk grabs onto the jet was awesome, and that Betty was FINE, but I thought the new one was better in every other way.

To me it felt like they went, "Okay, people complained that the first didn't have enough action, and was too high-brow" so they over-compensated by making it all about the action and taking out any intellectual or thematic material. I enjoyed it, to be sure, but it felt a wee bit over simplified for me.

I see what yer sayin'. But boy did I enjoy Norton in the role. Plus: no poodles.

I did like Norton, much better than Bana (and I like Bana). But Tyler was woooden, and I had trouble believing her as a scientist. Connely was a bit wooden, too. But at least with her, I could buy that level of intellegence.
