It's one of those things that happens to all great shows... there is a time when they have to end... whether it be due to ratings... characters breaking up... or no one wants to do it anymore...

Either way... it's over for Buffy... but is it..??

Many of us have heard several rumours flying around that there is the off chance of a Buffy movie again... or perhaps a 2 hour epilogue episode ... who knows... but is that really going to happen..?? I don't know... but I truly wish it would... it would give many of us something to look forward to... to hold on to...

I have talked to several other people on this forum ... we have said in so many words that Buffy's life was almost a part of ours... (which if you want to take in the pathetic - they have no life debate... go ahead... hehe)... but there was just something about watching the Scoobies grow up from teenagers into young adults...

But what do we watch in the mean time until the supposedly Buffy-logue is aired..?? There is "Angel" to consider... with questions like... Where in the hell did Cordy go again... (seriously... they keep losing her ... I think one of those kiddie leashes are in order)... anyways... there is also the question of Spike... and what about Fred and Gunn..??? Will Wesley take Fred away just because Gunn got a little cozy with Gwen the human electric fryer...??

And what about FireFly... I can honestly say that I haven't seen it... I have questioned some of the commercials that really make it sound too bland for my taste... but who knows....

Now that Buffy has tossed off... what are we to watch now...?? There is no cute Willow trying to be innocent but we all know she is getting freaky with Kennedy... and ix nay on Xander getting all worked up with his fantasies... hehe...

I know that times go on... but I am really going to miss the show... it gave me something to look forward to and usually kept me in suspense when I didn't read the spoilers...

Guess it just must be time to let it go... to move on... to get fanatical about another show... but the energy just isn't there... There are a few people on the thread who changed there whole life in order to watch Buffy on those Thursday or Tuesday nights....

So... my question is for the other Buffy-ites... Is there Life after Buffy...?? or do we turn the TV off and realize that there is a sun outside...???

go e'neri bothar leat...

Those commercials are the biggest complaint of most of us.

If you liked Buffy, chances are pretty good you'll like Firefly. Just give it a chance(you can easily download eps on Kazaa or similar, go for Serenity Parts 1 and 2 first)

I think that Buffy's ultimate pay off is that she was finally freed from her duty. This ending almost perfectly fits with all of the die-hard fans in that they too are free from the confines of the Buffy-verse. We all learned the life lessons taught by the show and now we are free to take those lessons and grow in the real world; just as Buffy is free to take the lessons she learned in Sunnydale into the outside world and finally live.

This, in a way, is the perfect fan-based conclusion to the series so many have taken into their lives. This is the ending for fans, developed for fans more than anything the series has done yet.

Is there life after Buffy? Of course. It's our own life.

There is no life after Buffy. I'm up for arranging a mass sucide, and leaving notes asking to be buried with our Buffy dvds and action figures?

Is this the argument, which is pathetic, saying you have no life, or the argument that your lack of life is pathetic?

Also, is there anything that’s really wrong with having no life? It’s pathetic (unless you want to argue that point), but is it wrong?

Is this a cult of Buffy kinda thing, or is it just plain old mass suicide?

I loved buffy ... but I'm glad its over.

Niel Gaiman once said that things need to end... it's what gives them meaning.

The fact that the story has a begining, a middle, and an end is what we love about it.

It's not the same old - every episode ends the way it begins for continuity and episodal plots.
It wasn't a series of crappy episodes, it was a grandiose plot - which is now over.

I mean think if Buffy were like Superman? The same character just keeps on going rarely if every coming to any realizations and never changing or growing - ad infinitum.

Think of what kind of story Buffy would be if Joss wanted to monopolize on the money rather than the story.

Would you really have had it any other way?
