Lent my FIREFLY DVD set to a buddy of mine. He works for the CHP (California Highway Patrol) air ops (air rescue/medivac). Aparently much of the time is spent waiting for the emergency call. He decided to bring my dvd set and play it during the down time...and hooked everyone in the office. Rack up another six.

We got you partially surrounded.

Sounds like a captive audience to me - nicely done!

I just splurged with some of my tax refund and bought a "Hook line and sinker" copy of the set. That way I have one to loan out, and one to watch in the mean time. I have been doing it by loaning out two discs at a time, but then I end up missing them so badly.

I draw...therefore I am. http://www.mnartists.org/artistHome.do?rid=7922

That is excellent!

I am a drama teacher in a high school, and whenever we have a crazy day like testing or we need a mental break after a big performance, I always show "Firefly". Earlier this year, one of my classes had a huge block of time to fill, so I showed them "Serenity". Afterwards, we had another testing day, and the students requested more episodes! They especially liked "Out of Gas". I also show them episodes as examples of great acting/directing, as well as concept.

So between the trailer I am constantly pimping, the downtime we sometimes pass with "Firefly", or the use of it within my lesson plans, I know I have recruited a number of new browncoats as well.

I am glad to do my part!
