Hi,

I get it's not nice to exclude people, but only the UK can help me.

I'm looking for a copy of 'Finding Serenity' but can't find it anywhere but Amazon, and I don't want to buy it without having a look at it first.

So my question is, does anyone know anywhere in London I'll be able to get my hands on it?

I believe Becsthebeast can answer this one for you! If she doesn't see this thread, you can find her details in the Birmingham Shindig thread. The store she works for can get hold of it for you.

Apart from that, reckon Amazon's your best bet. I've read the first 3 or 4 essays - quite interesting but this type of book won't be to everyone's taste.

Welcome to the physics disco.

I'm not entirely sure if you'll definatley find it but Foyles book store along charing cross road is supposedly the ultimate book store. Navigating your way around it once you're in is another story though.... You may need to hire a guide to get you around the place.

That said there are numerous bookstores along that road that may also have it. It's worrth a look.

Bec's bookshop is in London and they can definitely get it - we were discussing this at our little shindig last weekend. The problem seems to be that it has to be ordered in, so I doubt "regular" shops (even Foyles) will have it just sat on the shelf.

You could try The Cinema Store in Upper St. Martin's Lane(near Covent Garden) or Forbidden Planet in Shaftebury Avenue. Since they're more specialised stores, you might have more luck there.

I'm 99.9% they don't have them. Pretty much Firefly free zones.

I really think you'll be lucky to find a bookshop that actually has it to buy straight off the shelf (I hope I'm wrong, but...). And whilst some stores could order it for you, I suppose that isn't much good if you want to sneak a peek first.

i can order this in from our supplier in the US - does take a bit of time maybe a couple of weeks as they don't always have stock and we wouldn't be able to return it - but i got my hands on a copy myslef which you would be welcome to peruse at some point - send me a personal message and we can meet (in a clandestine fashion

) if you like it and want it straight away you can buy from me and i'll replace it
