SciFi Picked up firefly premiere next friday at 7

Hey all as I flipped on stargate sg-1 i saw a comercial on scifi for firefly next friday premiere at 7. Do you think after going through the 14 eps, they will do new ones? Im so exicted when i saw this i was jumping up and down.

They are only re-running the existing episodes - they do not have the rights to make new ones. Sci-Fi is owned by Universal, who is producing Serenity, so showing Firefly is a way to build up interest in the movie.
