Can anybody verify where the guy posting on the fireflydvd.net site gets his info? He keeps insisting that contrary to popular rumor...Joss Whedon will not be appearing at Dragon*Con. It seems someone is confused.

The're was on official announcement read on "The Signal" last week. Joss said he was never invited to Dragon Con and therefore would not be there.

Indeed Joss posted just yesterday on the official board to make it absolutely, 100%, totally, definitely crystal clear that he wasn't coming.

Unfortunately for some people, Dragon*Con putting his name up as a confirmed guest is the equivalent of God himself coming down, carving into Mount Sinai that Joss turning up is foretold, with Jesus, Mohammed and Buddha all waiting outside Joss's door to ensure his attendance.

Of course, this could all be the most fantastic double bluff.

Indeed he did, though Dragon Con still has him up on their site as attending. Seems to be some confusion on the point.

Alas, Summer & Sean both have cancelled their Dragon Con appearances due to "professional reasons". Disappointing as I was really looking forward to meeting Summer.
