WARNING! Counterfeit early Serenity DVD's in New York

Apparently some of the Serenity DVDs being sold early in New York are counterfeit. The copy I purchased at DVD Empire on 33rd is an obvious knock-off, with off-color images. Another one a friend of mine purchased elswhere, has less dectable but still present image distortions.

None of the proceeds for these fakes are going to Mutant Enemy or Universal...so it's just not worth it to take a chance. Get Serenity on the up and up at established retail places on the street release date.

I bet it was a copy of the telecine with cam audio....I downloaded it but the sellers of warez should all burn in the special part of hell

For anyone who isn't SURE they are buying the official release, just order from Amazon... The price isn't bad and if you throw in the soundtrack or something else you might want, it's even free shipping.

This way, it will also helps perhaps get it up into the Amazon best seller lists... Thus getting it FREE EXPOSURE to people who may not otherwise ever hear of it unless it shows up there.

Any and every OFFICIAL copy sold counts towords the chances of future releases getting made, right?

Personaly, I'd rather see more box sets get sold to encourage a new series being made. Higher movie sales may just encourage them to only make a sequal rather than go for the gold of many, many, shiny new episodes... ;)

Hopefully, people who get the movie will find out about the box set and get that too.
