According to Hollywood Reporter 'Serenity' came in at #3 in sales for the week of December 25. There are no totals, just ranking. Here is the link,

Thats great news but they didn't even make the top 10 in rentals.

Why is that bad news? Because it might mean that the #3 ranking in sales was a huge get-a-fan-something-for-Christmas-thing, but the sales will drop off the scale now that all the fans own a copy. Or maybe not.

I said it in the other DVD sales thread, and I'll say it here: the only reason we're so low in rental figures is because the rental places don't have many copies of the BDM. Every rental store I've been to in my area has only had 5 or so copies. How are we expected to make boatloads of cash if the stores don't let us?
