How is Serenity matching up

Ok so since the release of the Video I have been watching the stores.

On the release day I was in Northern Arizona vacationing. On the opening day Walmart in in Pinetop Arizona only had about 7 copies of the movie left.

When I got home Walmart in Oklahoma only had 3 copies left (just before Christmas)

Bestbuy only had 10 copies left and 2 copies when I returned to the store the next day.

Firefly was sold out and had to go to the other best buy to get it and Serenity was sold out at the Bestbuy I got Firefly at.

Video rental store has 15 copies of the movie. All were rented out. Compared to some of the other releases which were almost full in the middle of the week when I checked.

I would say just from my little look around. Serenity is doing well. Firefly is still Flyin off the shelves.

Anyone else notice while they are shopping?

Here in my little town (Commerce GA) my wife could only find one copy of the fullscreen version at Walmart due to decent sales.

At the video store the 35 (yes, thirty five!) copies of the movie are renting well. On the night they stocked the shelves 3 copies were rented before they finished stocking. Employess report good movement; I talked the movie up to the employees as well.

The 35 copies may have to do with Video Warehouse pushing the shows they don't believe in to the small towns. We have an amazing selection of shows I have NEVER heard of here. Things that never made it to Tallhassee when we lived there 3 monts ago. This makes my wife and me happy, because we tend to gravitate to the lesser known shows. The big blockbusters don't risk the creativity of the small budget stuff.
