Hello everyone, I'm new.

My husband and I are Firefly converts, ie, a friend loaned us the DVD and we were hooked about a year ago. When we found a reluctance to return the Firefly box set that we borrowed, we eventually just went out and bought our own.

We recently moved from California to Indiana, and since we were driving cross country when Serenity came out, we found a theatre in the middle of nowhere somewhere around Oklahoma so we could see it on the day.

And then when we got here, we went to the theatre to see it twice more before we even moved our boxes into the house. The theatre was incredulous that we insisted on paying for both sittings, since well, it is a small town, and we saw one right after the other.

Anyway, since then, we've both loved Firefly and Serenity, and use any opportunity we can to convert others, the way that our friend got us.

Don't mind me, I'm feeling a little homesick, hence my rambling post, that really just started out as a "Hello".

Welcome!
This is a good place to be. I'm a pretty new fan. I saw Serenity and loved it. A coworker then bought the Firefly boxed set, I borrowed it and watched several episodes in a row, then promptly bought it myself. Sadly, when Firefly was on in 2002 I only gave it about 5 minutes before turning it off. Now it's easily my favorite sci-fi.

Welcome to the insanity, both of you!

I saw the series when it started on TV and was hooked immediately!

I have never loved a show like this. It's weird. It just sort of takes over your life (but in a good way)!!

I've liked a lot of shows, but there's only one other show that really ticked me off that got cancelled and that was "Titus". Even then, I don't think I felt the anguish that I felt for Firefly.

Anyway, you'll find a fun bunch of people here. Many thought provoking threads (and a few trolls, but ignore them and they go away) and other threads that are just plain fun.

Settle in, and enjoy!

Ok, here's the deal, one is that we love every new person to come our way, we all have something in common here and this has always seemed to be an unusually welcoming and interesting group.

In short:
We don't mind (object to; dislike) you, but we will mind (care about) you. Language is so screwed up, I never cease to be amazed by it.

Also, if you think that is rambling you have no concept of what it is to ramble. You'll soon learn.
